Job Description |

We are seeking a special person--someone who has a deep understanding and passion for food safety and who has been, and may well still be, an active practitioner as an auditor, or teacher, or manager. This position will administer all aspects of food safety education activities for the company including staffing, programming, and financial responsibility. The successful candidate will be an active participant of the leadership team in order to grow and enhance the company both domestically and globally.
Major responsibilities: *Promote, direct and manage all activities of Food Safety Education for both AIB and AIB International. *Promote and supervise the production, sales and marketing of AIB and AIB International training and resource materials. *Promote, supervise and market educational seminars for AIB and AIB International in the areas of Food Safety, Food Defense, Occupational Safety and Quality Systems both domestically and internationally. *Promote the activities of Food Safety Education, assist and provide input to the President and Department Vice Presidents for continuous improvement and oversight. •Achieve the overall budget objectives for Food Safety Education both domestically and internationally. *Assist the overall budget objectives of AIB and AIB International. *Direct and supervise the administration of all activities within AIB and AIB International for food safety and food defense education. *Prepare an annual budget inclusive of all activities within the responsibilities of AIB and AIB International. *Assist the President in achieving both the operating and budget objectives of AIB's membership as directed by the Board of Trustees.

Requirements |

Qualifications Required: Education- BS/BA university training in science required; graduate degree desireable.
Training & Experience- *Training in management/business *Minimum of three years of experience in auditing food safety inspections and quality management systems in the GMP regulated industries. *Experience in public speaking in structured classroom and seminar (short course) training. *A good understanding of federal, state and local regulations regarding food safety, and food defense. *Skilled in writing technical and instructional training papers, manuals, and videos.
Additional Skills- *Capable of performing both physical and system audits. *A good understanding of accounting, law, management, marketing and administration. *Good personal and communication skills, team building skills and time management. *Able to travel both domestically and internationally in promoting AIB and AIB International activities.
