Litehouse, a leading producer of dressings, dips and sauces is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager in our Lowell, MI plant. The QA Manager manages and coordinates the review, revision and implementation of all quality and food safety programs including GMP’s, HACCP, allergens, and organics. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Management of all food quality and safety audits including FDA and other 3rd parties as well as all internal audits. • Management of plant quality data collection including retains, testing, and inspection documents. Analysis of data for concerns, changes and/or opportunities. • Ensuring compliance with all quality and safety standards through communication, training, monitoring and documentation • Direct supervision of micro lab and floor QA technicians • Promoting a culture of empowerment and accountability • Coordination and follow up of customer and consumer correspondence

Requirements |

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or related field • Food production experience with at least 5 years in a QA Managerial role • Demonstrated leadership in food quality and safety and plant regulatory requirements • Comprehensive knowledge of microbiology • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of all FDA requirements • Previous experience leading a food plant through FDA and other 3rd party audits • Exceptional communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership abilities • Ability to work well with team members on all levels of the organization • HACCP Certification from an accredited HACCP firm preferred
