Whitsons Culinary Group is presently in search of a QA / RD Technician for our Islandia Culinary Center. This position requires a detail focused and team oriented individual to support our QA/ RD department in the following responsibilities.
Responsible for implementing all quality and food safety related tests in the facility. Maintain the Quality Assurance Laboratory space and equipment. Assure that the lab is properly supplied. Assist in project development and management Assist in product development. Carry out procedure development and implementation. Work closely with R&D chefs in researching and realization of food products. Accumulate and organize all necessary data for product development. Accumulate and log all sampling of products. Assist RD chef and QA Director in preparing and presenting products, ensuring all facets of products are articulated. Requirements are as follows;

Requirements
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree, in food or related sciences. Minimum 3 years experience as a QA technician, preferably in a USDA inspected facility Experience with implementing and enforcing a HACCP Program Experience in training and mentoring Team members Experience with basic lab procedure Good verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of Spanish is a significant advantage. Must be Organized and attentive to details Excellent computer skills Must be Self motivated, have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards
